Bali Visa Application is an independent editorial guide and visa concierge. This page explains exactly who we are, how we make money, how we research, and the limits of what we publish — so you can use our information with full confidence and context.
We are independent — and what that means
We are not the Government of Indonesia, not the Directorate General of Immigration (Imigrasi), and not a law firm. We do not issue visas, take official applications, or decide cases. We research and explain Indonesia and Bali visas in plain English, and — only if you ask — we connect you with vetted licensed visa agents who process applications, and with a travel partner who can plan a Bali trip.
Information, not legal advice
Everything we publish is general editorial information. It is not legal, immigration, tax or financial advice and does not guarantee any outcome. Visa rules, eligibility and fees change and are decided case-by-case by Indonesian immigration. For your specific situation, confirm current rules on the official portal evisa.imigrasi.go.id and consult a licensed professional.
Editorial independence
Our recommendations and the figures we publish are made strictly on the merits. No agent, partner or advertiser can pay to change a recommendation, alter a ranking, or edit the costs and requirements we report. If we ever cannot verify something, we say so and flag it.
How we are funded (affiliate disclosure)
This site is free to read. We earn revenue through referrals: if you choose to proceed with a visa agent or travel partner we introduce, that partner may pay us a referral or booking fee — at no additional cost to you. You always pay the same as you would going direct. This relationship never affects which option we recommend or the facts we publish. You are always free to apply yourself on the official portal or use any provider you wish.
How we price — and our “last verified” rule
All prices on this site are shown in USD as indicative ranges and labelled “last verified June 2026”. We deliberately separate official government fees (set by Indonesia) from typical agent service fees (which vary widely), and we exclude case-specific costs such as insurance, deposits or investment thresholds. Currency conversions are approximate. Because tariffs and exchange rates move, always confirm the current figure before you pay.
No guarantee of approval or entry
We never guarantee that a visa will be approved, that you will be admitted at the border, or how long processing will take. Beware of any agent who promises “guaranteed approval” — that is a common red flag we warn against throughout this site.
How we research and source
Our content is built from official Indonesian government sources, established immigration regulations, and the practical experience of our editorial team, then written for clarity. Where sources conflict or a rule is in flux, we flag the uncertainty rather than state a false precision.
How we vet partners
Before we introduce a visa agent or travel partner, we look for a registered company, a verifiable track record, transparent itemised fees, and proper contracts and invoices. We do not work with operators who demand full prepayment to personal accounts or who refuse documentation.
Corrections
We update content as rules change and welcome corrections. If you spot something out of date or inaccurate, email us and we will review and amend it promptly.
No sponsored content
We do not publish paid “advertorial” disguised as editorial. Any commercial relationship is disclosed, as on this page.

Scope of our service
Our service is limited to publishing visa information and, on request, introducing you to vetted independent professionals. We do not complete government forms on your behalf, lodge applications, or represent you before any authority. Those steps are carried out by you or by the licensed agent you choose to engage.
Testimonials and reviews policy
We do not publish fabricated reviews, fake ratings, or invented testimonials. Any traveller feedback we may feature would be genuine and used with permission. We also do not invent agent names, boat names, awards or statistics; where a figure cannot be verified, we say so.
External links
We link to official and third-party sources for your convenience, including the Indonesian immigration portal. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of external sites, which operate under their own terms.
Currency and conversion
Prices are shown in US dollars for clarity even though Indonesian government fees are set in rupiah (IDR). Conversions are approximate and move with exchange rates; the rupiah figure charged by the government or an agent is what ultimately applies.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring your passport validity, choosing the correct visa for your activity, applying on time, respecting the conditions and duration of your visa, and avoiding overstay. Using the wrong visa — for example doing paid work on a tourist visa — can carry serious penalties that are entirely your responsibility.
Accessibility
We aim to keep this site readable and accessible. If you have trouble accessing any content, contact us and we will try to help or provide the information another way.
Why trust an independent guide
Most visa websites are run by agents whose only goal is to sell you their service, so they rarely show the cheaper self-apply route, the real government fee, or the honest downsides of a visa. Because we earn the same modest referral whichever vetted partner you choose — and nothing if you self-apply — we have no reason to push you toward the most expensive option. That independence is the whole point of this site: you get the full picture first, then decide. We would rather lose a referral than publish something misleading, because our credibility is the only asset that matters here.
